ASIST Training for Trainers (T4T)

The ASIST Training for Trainers (T4T) program is a one week course that provides basic preparation to become an ASIST trainer. It is an essential requirement for anyone wanting to provide ASIST. The course assumes prior training experience and that you you have already attended an ASIST workshop. Trainer Manuals and other materials are provided during T4T. Read the following material carefully to ensure that you are clear about the requirements and commitments involved.

This program is open and suitable for professionals and those in the community who are comitted to suicide intervention, willing to talk about suicide, able to present to a group and facilitate small group activities. If you would like to express an interest in this event, or receive further information, please download the ASIST Expression of Interest form. Places are limited!

Cost for this training event is $3,100.00 which includes all trainer materials, low ratio of trainer to participant, lunch for the five training days and ongoing trainer support. Transport and accommodation costs are not included.

safeTALK Training for Trainers (T4T)

The safeTALK Training for Trainers (T4T) program is a two-day course that provides basic preparation to become a safeTALK trainer. It is an essential requirement for anyone wanting to provide safeTALK. The course assumes prior training experience and that you have already attended an ASIST workshop.

Cost for this training event is $1,000 which includes all trainer materials, low ratio of trainer to participant, catering for the two training days and ongoing trainer support. Transport and accommodation costs are not included.

Contact us to inquire about becoming a suicideTALK Session Leader.

It is advised that session leaders have intervention skills training through a program like Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or its equivalent. suicideTALK is intended for groups age 15 and up. A parent or guardian for anyone in attendance under the age of 15 must be present.

suicideTALK session leaders receive a one-hour telephone orientation and a kit containing the standard presentation slides (PowerPoint format), certificate template, handouts and forms. Also included are custom slide sets for youth and mature groups. Pricing is as follows.

• ASIST Participants: $250.00 + $5.00 shipping
• Registered LivingWorks trainers: $75.00 + $5.00 shipping
• General: $300.00 + $5.00 shipping
