What is LivingWorks Start?

In just 90 minutes online, LivingWorks Start trains participants to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide and how to connect them to help and support. LivingWorks Start was developed with input from experts in suicide prevention, education, psychology, public health, social work, faith communities and the military.

Who is LivingWorks Start for?

LivingWorks Start teaches valuable skills to anyone 13 years and over, and requires no formal training or prior experience in suicide prevention. The evidence is clear; the earlier we ask someone – in your family, a friend, a partner or colleague – if they are thinking about suicide, the earlier we can get them to the right level of support and recovery. We believe that by teaching these skills to as many people as possible, we can help the world become safer from suicide.

How much does LivingWorks Start cost?

Do I have to complete the training all in one session?

No, LivingWorks Start is designed to be completed at your own pace. The training will save as you progress and you can leave and log back in to complete it at any time.

Do I get a certificate for completing this training?

Yes, upon completion of the course you will receive a digital certificate that you can choose to save and keep electronically or print.
