Niff Howard has worked within the health sector for over 10 years, six of those dedicated to the mental health and suicide prevention sector. With a special interest in behaviour change, Niff has several years’ experience developing and delivering training and resources to help protect our most vulnerable people across prevention, intervention and postvention initiatives. As project manager at LivingWorks, Niff supports the delivery of national and local contracts, engaging with all stakeholders to implement tailored solutions that meet community needs.
Niff is a strong advocate for the use of safe trauma-informed language at all levels of public health and education. Having previously worked with Standby Support After Suicide, Kids Helpline and Everymind, her expertise in knowledge translation to support prevention efforts ranges from crisis communication to early intervention. Niff has a knack for developing and delivering helpful information to targeted audiences which serves her well in her project management role.
Outside of work you will usually find Niff near the beach or in her garden soaking up some quiet time. Niff is also a proud Defence Spouse and a big advocate for the general welfare of our Defence members and their families.
